First grade may be early for your learner to read complex data in charts, and use data visualization graphics, charts, and diagrams. However, information literacy is a superpower for gifted visual learners.
So many of the world’s information are presented in the form of visuals, charts, and diagrams. I think it is helpful to give labels to the patterns and data representations, so that kids can practice their critical thinking skills.
